Frequently Asked Questions
This page is for the common questions about how the LN works. If your question is not answered here, please ask Lion or ask on the clan forums.
What is the point of the clan?
Our clan is a roleplaying (RP) clan, meaning that we play games where you narrate the events and issues of your country's internal and external relations in the game chat. These are typically in the form of diplomacy. We are not a strategy clan, although you are always allowed to play strategy games.

How do I get my country?
Players will be able to choose their country after they are voted into the clan. They must not take a country already picked by another member. Please view the "Countries" page of the website to see the countries that are taken. Once you have chosen your country, please let the current Records Keeper, Recruitment Manager, and IT Manager know so that they can update it on the website and clan page.
Ideally, you should chose a nation that you have considerable knowledge or experience with.

You must contact the Records Keeper to change your nation. Make a wise choice, as you can only change your nation once. The Records Keeper should have the IT manager then change your nation on all web- based content.

How can I run for Council?
Running for Council is running for a clan official position. That means for the next two months you must do a certain job for the clan or risk impeachment. Any member of the clan can run for council, but experienced and active members are better off.
To run, you must first announce your candidacy on the nominations period on the elections forum thread (7 days to announce)
After those 7 days, you will begin campaigning.
After those 7 days, voting shall begin.
If you win, you will be sworn in shortly after.
It is advised that you have read the Charter and are knowledgeable about clan law before running.

What is the difference between the Assembly, the Judicial Branch, and Council?
The Assembly is the legal term for the clan as a whole. Every member of the clan in part of the assembly. The Assembly votes in clan-wide votes, charter amendments, and elections.
The Judicial Branch serves as the Justice Branch of the LN, dealing with law-breaking and legal inter-clan cases.
The Council is a group of 5 elected members (including leader) who participate in certain law making processes and certain clan jobs. They are the Legislative and Executive Branch of the LN.

What is activity? / How active do I need to be in the clan?
Activity is a hot topic of debate among clan members. It is basically how much you participate in clan events and in WarLight in general. Voting, taking your turn in clan games, roleplaying in games and other tasks contribute to your "activity."
The minimal activity for the clan is to roleplay and participate in our clan games. Participating in more than this is much appreciated.
